Hey guys welcome back to the Grace Room podcast, I am so excited to introduce my new friend Reagan. Reagan has an unbelievable story of redemption where time and time again has had to lean on God in the middle of doubt and fear. Today we are going to talk about what that looks like. How to press into God’s presence and blessing when it feels like the answers are grey and vague. How to trust that God is going to come through for you, even if it’s not the answer you wanted or were expecting. I know in my life there have been times where I have felt scared, unsure, and nervous about the future – and I’m sure I’m not the only one, and that’s why I am so excited about this conversation. Being stuck in an in between place can feel really discouraging and my hope for this conversation is that you walk away from it feeling at peace with wherever you’re at because you will know that God is good and sees you. With that said, here is my conversation with Reagan.
“I think when we have these moments of unknown there’s so many things we can turn to – we turn to our families, we turn to our friends, we turn to the internet, and I would say that the Christian walk says we should turn to the Bible and turn to the Lord.”
“I had to turn off the outside world and just sit in prayer with the Lord, because if we’re not rooted in Him then what’s our foundation?”
“Something that we have to remember is that the same spirit that was in Christ is inside us.”
“I think as humans we have this innate capacity to want to hold onto these things because we’re scared to let them go, not knowing what that unknown is going to lead us to.”
“I think that’s why we’re given so many trials on a daily basis – because we believe we can do it on our own and then we forget to turn to Him in these times of need and these times of strife, and how grateful I am for these times of struggle because it draws me so much closer to Him.”
“Holding onto the Lord’s goodness and His promises I think are so crucial during those times that everything’s up in the air.”
“I know what it was like to live in darkness and to not have a relationship with Him and I never want to go back to that.”
“There’s nothing too big to take you away from the Lord’s love.”
